Akshaya Patra established its presence in Odisha in 2006 with its centralised kitchen in Puri, and then opened its decentralised kitchen in Nayagarh in 2007. Following these, centralised kitchens were opened in Rourkela in 2013 and Cuttack in 2014. Across these four kitchens, Akshaya Patra feeds 125,242 children across 4,461 schools every day.
